This is not some
conspiracy theory but a fact. The United Kingdom has killed not
hundreds but thousands of elderly people, mostly care home residents,
simply by the large majority of the population not wearing a face
covering during the Coronavirus outbreak.
In spite of the fact
that many countries, particularly in South East Asia made wearing of
a mask or face covering mandatory the World Health Organisation and
the UK Government decided to ignore the evidence, saying there was no
real scientific proof to support the wearing of masks.
The problem was that
both the WHO and the UK Government were basing this on whether masks
would protect the individual wearing them.
The fact is, they
completely missed the point that it wasn't about protecting the
wearer but preventing the wearer spreading the disease unknowingly,
as science proved that many individuals could be infected without
showing symptoms.
The evidence is there
for everyone to see. Those countries who wore face coverings have
tiny infection and death rates compared to ours.
On the 8th
May we celebrated VE Day and supposedly paid tribute to the men and
women who courageously brought our Country through the most terrible
World War. And yet at the same time we caused the deaths of WWII
veterans still alive by our selfish inaction.
The UK Government's
stubborn intransigence not to order this one simple thing that could
have helped massively reduce infections and subsequent deaths. We
could also have been out of lockdown weeks ago, if this strategy
would have been made mandatory.
It is a national
outrage, though it will of course be brushed under the carpet, like
so many other avoidable tragedies.
